Crossroads

Plane takes off and,

I get so high,

Off to somewhere new.

I leave what I’ve know,

Behind I’m gone,

Towards a different sky.

This cabin rumbles and, it shakes,

A tiny earthquake.

You stand on stable ground, below.

Level to the sea.

My new bed’s got a,

New set of sheets,

The threads don’t feel the same.

With every year that passes,

Our roads extend,

Off from east to west.

We’ve gone our separate ways,

That’s fine,

It’s just the way of time.

You can’t know how this play out,

But today,

The future’s on my mind.

Outro:

These roads diverge,

Space between,

And they twist and turn,

Over fields and streams.

But I know one day, we will meet here again,

At the crossroads we will stand.

These roads diverge,

Space between,

And they will twist and turn,

Over everything,

But I know one day, we will meet here again,

At the crossroads we will stand.
