Hope and the Sea

I’m hoping the sea can save me

Watch as the waves come crashing down

But just as the current takes me

The weight of the world it slows me down

The break of day

Coffee and a smoke for me

And I try to live my life differently

And I see this day is turning out to be

Another pointless endeavor

sand and scraping knees

The moon breaks day

Whiskey and a smoke for me

The ocean breeze

Draws me to epiphanies
